加拿大央行是各国央行的一个异类，在全球央行都在持续增持黄金的背景下，加拿大央行却在大量出售其黄金储备。在经过了一系列抛售黄金的工作之后，加拿大的黄金储备目前已经基本见底。
金价周四大幅上行，触及逾一年高位1268 24美元 盎司。技术上，金价向上突破了自2月11日以来的三角形整理上轨，可能为後市打开进一步、大幅上行空间，不过值得一提的是，金价目前还没能有效突破2月11日高点。
MKS周三（3月2日）发布的报告中称，由于美国2月汽车销量强劲，钯金大涨但阻力位即2月中旬的高点已不远了。福特汽车销售同比上涨了20%，至216045辆，是11年以来销量最多的2月份。
2月金价大涨10%，而今年以来金价涨幅近17%，黄金市场一片向好，而有专家认为，金价的上涨还没有结束，未来数月还将继续大幅走高。
随着金价的上涨，Comex期金的多头头寸也在持续上涨中，CFTC数据显示，2月23日结束当周，Comex期金净多头头寸增加35%，是连续第6周增加。
美国商品期货交易委员会(CFTC)周五(2月26日)公布的周度报告显示，截至2月23日当周，对冲基金和基金经理Comex增持黄金净净头寸至一年最高位，对冲基金和基金经理还增持了白银期货及期权净多头头寸。
周四(2月25日)黄金市场连续第三个交易日上涨，一度突破1240美元 盎司。周四日内公布的美国耐用品数据表现好于预期，这使得黄金市场受到一定影响，此外，欧洲和美国股市的回升也打压了金价的表现。
对于黄金市场，这个年初的抢眼表现除了在节节高升的金价中，还在黄金ETF的持续流入中体现。今年至今，全球黄金ETF的总持有量增加了近14%，有望成为2010年6月以来流入量最大的单个季度。
今年以来，随着贵金属价格的持续回升，期货市场的黄金和白银多头头寸也都一直处在增长的状态中。数据显示，2月16日结束当周，期金市场多头头寸和空头头寸之间的比率上涨至2 9，是去年10月以来的最高水平。
近期英国退欧的话题成为了市场焦点，尽管上周英国和欧盟达成协议，但随着上周日伦敦市长约翰逊(BorisJohnson)表态支持英国脱离欧盟，这增加了英国选民6月公投赞成脱欧的可能性。
