美元昨日在歐美時段盤中持穩，此前在亞洲市場觸及近七周低點，受累於市場對歐洲疫苗推廣步伐的樂觀情緒，以及美國國債收益率仍低於3月份的高點。美元4月迄今下跌，因美國國債收益率從上月觸及的14個月高位回落。這與今年第一季的情況相反，當時美元因美國國債收益率上升而走強。
歐元/美元觸及1.2079高點，為近七周以來的最高水平，此前成功突破了1.20關鍵關口。德國商業銀行策略師You-Na Park-Heger在致客戶的報告中稱，美元近期下跌是因為美聯儲向市場保證不會很快結束貨幣刺激措施，而歐洲疫苗接種情況改善支撐歐元。但她表示，情況可能會迅速改變。
“美國經濟複蘇可能會進一步推高通脹預期，引發加息猜測。由於不確定性仍然很高，歐元區與新冠疫情有關的新聞形勢可能再次發生變化。”一些分析人士表示，對歐元的支撐可能來自歐盟宣布，歐盟已從生物科技公司(BioNTech)和輝瑞(Pfizer)獲得額外1億劑新冠疫苗。
