渣打银行认为，预期陡峭的利率轨迹已经对黄金构成压力，加上美元走强。但由于全球贸易战可能带来的不确定性，黄金也出现避险买盘。通胀预期的上升可能会使黄金价格长期上涨，但对冲高涨的地缘政治紧张局势更有可能提供短期的价格上涨。
渣打银行在周三发布的报告中表示，对贸易战的担忧阻止了上周黄金价格的下跌，金价曾有跌破每盎司1300美元/盎司的危险。
该行称：
“预期陡峭的利率轨迹已经对黄金构成压力，加上美元走强。但由于全球贸易战可能带来的不确定性，黄金也出现避险买盘。
通胀预期的上升可能会使黄金价格长期上涨，但对冲高涨的地缘政治紧张局势更有可能提供短期的价格上涨。”
分析师指特朗普政府宣布决策者们正在考虑对进口铝进行10%关税和25%钢铁关税。周二现货金价攀至1338.55美元/盎司，是本月迄今最强劲的水平，周三则回落，金价一度跌破1320关口。
截止发稿，现货黄金在1325美元附近。
