周一(6月19日)，英国首相特蕾莎梅就前一日伦敦北部清真寺发生的恐袭事件发表讲话，称反穆斯林恐怖主义与最近英国发生的恐袭一样“病态”。
事发当时，一名男子驾驶一辆货车冲入朝拜者人群，该名男子目前已经身亡，死因不明。英国警方随后还逮捕了一名48岁的男性嫌疑人。共计9人受伤，所有受害者均为穆斯林。有目击者听闻凶手大喊：“我要杀了穆斯林１警方称，这起事件显然是针对穆斯林发起的攻击，而当地社区将可见更多包括武装警察在内的警力。
