汇丰银行在周二（5月10日）发布的报告中称，今年各国央行购买黄金有望加速。该银行援引世界黄金协会数据称，第一季度官方购买黄金达45吨。
汇丰称“看来各国央行继续以适度的方式投资黄金。各国央行对黄金的需求对黄金的展望是积极正面的。尽管各国央行的购买量比珠宝及投资需求要小，但比较稳定而且也吸收了一定的黄金数量。更重要的是，那些黄金贮备较大的国家，多数属于OECD经合组织的成员国，它们出售黄金储备的意愿不强。”
