根据中央银行周日发布的月度报告，上个月中央银行的储备减少了约166亿里亚尔（44亿美元）至1.641万亿里亚尔。6月份净外国资产增加2%，达到1675万亿里亚尔。
2020年，由于石油收入下降，财政紧张，官员向沙特主权基金转移400亿美元，以推动投资热潮，外国净资产大幅下降。大多数经济学家表示，这足以捍卫里亚尔盯住美元的政策，而油价上涨可能在未来几个月进一步提振这个世界最大原油出口国的命运。
