有分析指如果收益率繼續上升，可能會拖累貴金屬走低，盡管市場存在避險情緒。”財經網站FXStreet分析師Ross Burland撰文稱，金價最新一輪突然下跌可能完全歸因於美國國債收益率的大幅上升，這往往會促使資金逃離這種無收益率的黃金。在周三美國CPI報告發布之前，對通脹上升將迫使美聯儲提前收緊超寬松貨幣政策的擔憂，推高了美國債券收益率。
但隨着美元指數回落，金價展開強勢反彈。現貨黃金周二收報1837.10美元/盎司，上漲1.49美元或0.08%。美元指數收報90.18，下跌0.13%，該指數最低一度觸及2月25日以來的最低水平89.98。
