美国WTI 4月原油期货电子盘价格周三(2月24日)收盘上涨1.78美元，涨幅2.89%，报63.45美元/桶。油价周三攀升至13个月新高，此前美国政府数据显示，上周原油产量下降，因原油生产在遭遇极寒天气后中断。
与此同时，ICE布伦特5月原油期货电子盘价格收盘上涨1.92美元，涨幅2.98%，报66.40美元/桶。
美国能源信息署(EIA)表示，截至2月19日当周，原油总产量下降110万桶/日，至970万桶/日，追平史上最大周度降幅，炼厂炼油量也大幅下降。严寒迫使德州大部分电网停运，产油商和炼厂被迫关闭，因零部件和管道冻结。
芝加哥Price Futures高级分析师Phil Flynn表示，如果EIA的产量数据一周内降幅达到这种水平，那之后可能还会进一步下降。有人担心，将会出现长期、永久性的产量下降。
休斯顿船运航道的交通逐渐恢复正常，但码头仍然面临一些问题。在近四分之一的全国炼油产能因冰冻天气而停运后，炼油厂本周也已开始恢复生产。
